The 2013 ART©OPYRIGHT grant winner : FALZUM STOP (Prague)

The 10,000 € Grant was warded on May 23 at Palais du Luxembourg in Paris.
In the present of M. Michal Dvorak, representing Her Excellency Ms. Marie Chatardova, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic.

The jury chose unanimously to award the ART©OPYRIGHT grant to the Czech association Falzum STOP.

Created in 2008, Falzum STOP brings together artists, conservators, art historians, academics and former police officers who dedicate their time to inform a large audience, and more specifically the youngest, to issues raised by art counterfeiting.

This grant will help them to offer foreign language versions of their website www.fakestop.eu, to organize conferences as well as
exhibitions in Maribor and in Pilsen which will be the 2015 European Capital of Culture.

In the speech delivered on behalf of Her Excellency Ms. Marie Chatardova, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, M. Michal Dvorak in charge of press and politics affairs thanked the Jury and the Giacometti Foundation for having honoured his country with this award. He heralded the importance of this grant as a recognition of the initiatives of Czech citizens to prevent and raise awareness on the damages created by art counterfeiting.
